  • Best English Gamers To Watch!

english gamers

Sometimes, you just want to sit back and relax. And watching your favorite English gamers is a great way to do that. You can watch them play your favorite games, or play silly games you've never seen before. By watching them, you can recharge and then go back to work, sleep, or the game you want to play yourself.

I find it entertaining to watch someone else playing one of my favorite games – or playing completely new games. Everyone's reaction to certain things is different, and trust me, it could be so funny. And honestly, why would you only watch television if you could also watch interesting and funny people play video games? Exactly. Watching TV starts to get just as normal as watching your favorite gamer on YouTube (or Twitch).

And that’s why you searched for English gamers, right? Maybe you’re not a native English person yourself, then this is also a great way to learn English (little secret from me why I like to watch English gamers).

DanTDM

Meet Dan, a.k.a. Daniel Robert Middleton, who is one of the best English gamers to watch. Daniel is born in 1991. At this time writing, he has 25.6 million subscribers on YouTube! Wow. I also understand why he gets so much engagement. He genuinely enjoys what he's doing, and he does a great job at taking you within his thoughts and decisions. Daniel seems like a truly nice person, and he became a dad in 2020.

You'll spot a lot of videos about Minecraft on his channel, he's done Pokémon games, and right now he plays a lot of random silly games as well! Because he plays a wide variety of games, it's fun to watch his reaction to random new events that happen. He sometimes also makes videos about reacting to funny (TikTok) videos and more.

What I like about Daniel too, is that he shares a lot of personal stuff with his audience. From the experience of becoming a dad, to losing his dog and crying on camera. I like seeing the true person behind the screens which I believe is something all English gamers should do. Btw, Daniel got married in 2013 to his girlfriend Jemma, where he must have been 21 years old. Their first son Asher was born in 2020 so they spend quite some time living together without kids. I prefer that myself, too. To experience some time alone with your partner before you plan on kids. Anyway, let's move on.

Sometimes, Daniel streams on Twitch too. He is also known for his video game commentaries. You can tell why… his voice, energy, and passion are great to make him one of the best English gamers to watch. Daniel knows how to make every game interesting and enjoyable. Btw, where does TDM stand for? That stands for The Diamond Minecart (he was formerly known as The Diamond Minecraft).

Maybe it’s one of your most favorite or nostalgic games, who knows. His latest streams on Twitch also included games like ‘’I am Fish’’ where a fish has to travel through multiple areas and reach checkpoints. Once you jump out of the water, flying for a bit, you need to make sure you get back to the water as soon as possible – otherwise, you will die.

And one of the other recent games Daniel streamed on Twitch was ‘Surgeon Simulator 2’, where you have to perform life-saving surgery that goes together with pitch-black humor. As with all simulator games, it is meant to copy activities from real life into a game.

YOGSCAST Lewis & Simon

Would you like to dive into the great vibe of a group of friends who play online multiplayer games? And hear an infectious laugh? Then you can have a look at YOGSCAST Lewis & Simon. Simon Charles Lane and Lewis Alan Brindley are not the youngest gamers, as Simon is born in 1978 and Lewis is born in 1983. They even have their podcast, where they talk about the weirdest news on the web. Their YouTube channel has 7,15 million subscribers and they are well-deserved one of the best English gamers to watch. They are also known for their famous Minecraft parodies.

Ever heard of the games Gmod TTT, Dread Hunger, Project Winter, and First Class Trouble? Lewis and Simon love to play these games, so you'll find these a lot on their channel. You will also find them playing GTA V. As with Daz Games I mentioned before, it's amazing to see older gamers having so much fun. Gaming is for everyone, no matter what your age is and I truly believe that in the next generations, people would be playing games when they're 60.

Having fun is all that gaming is about, and Lewis & Simon are great examples of that. Gaming together could be more fun than gaming alone. These English gamers make each other laugh, react to each other's crazy decisions: they bring out the best in each other. Honestly, I believe this is a concept that makes them successful. If they were both playing separately, and commentating on games individually like other content creators are doing, they wouldn't have this awesome vibe.

Lewis and Simon are powered by Chillblast UK, which makes custom gaming PCs. They even have their own 'The Yogscast' gaming PCs. Besides, they have their own 'The Yogscast’ store with a lot of different merchandise and the podcast is called ‘Triforce!’ What they say about their podcast, is this: ‘Two dads and a Lewis join together to form the Triforce!’ These English gamers talk about gaming rambles, life stories, and comedy sci-fi series. Their podcast is filled to the brim with dad chat. You can find out what that’s like when you listen to their comedy podcast.

Stodeh

Tom Stoddart born in 1991, also known as Stodeh, is one of the best English gamers. He might not be the most famous English gamer with 523.000 subscribers on YouTube, but he is creating content that's worth mentioning. Stodeh is originally a Battlefield player and excels at sniping. It’s something you’ll see him do in most shooters.

Tom is a shooter guy and you can tell when you take a look at his content. He mainly played Battlefield, Call of Duty, PUBG, Apex Legends, and some Star Wars Battlefront. He is a very relaxed and calm dude with fun and entertaining communication, which sets him apart from other English gamers. Stodeh regularly teams up with like-minded content creators like the TacticalBrit, Aculite, and Jackfrags. These guys have a tremendous vibe together. It’s so much more relaxing to watch than sweaty, salty wannabes. Plus Stodeh and his companions hit amazing shots too. A win-win situation.

Stodeh recently released a video about why he stopped playing Warzone. Just like many other content creators, there are too many things broken. He summarized the problems very well in his latest video.

Warzone main problems:

  • SBMM (secret match marketing score)
  • Aim assist (for controller players)
  • Cheaters
  • Broken metas (broken guns)
  • Game modes
  • Mechanics

I can agree with most of his points, but I don’t share his opinion on game modes and mechanics. I think the mechanics of slide canceling etc. is what makes Warzone unique. It’s also a Battle Royale, so other game modes wouldn’t make sense. However, the thing everyone can agree about is the fact there are too many cheaters. I mean, every cheater is a cheater too many, but in Warzone there are is a cheater in 33% of the lobbies. Now, that is just insane.

We can only hope that the upcoming anti-cheat system will do its work and make an end to this cheating madness. I hope that content creators like Stodeh will return, then we can enjoy his maddening snipes once more.

Daz Games

The first time I saw Daz Games, a.k.a. Darren Black, these were the words first that flew through my mind: a sweet, genuine, and honest dad that likes to play video games and cares about his audience. And I seemed right, and so he belong to the best English gamers. Darren was born in 1985, currently has 6,97 million subscribers and he’s a dad of a daughter called Sarah Blackmore together with his ex. He also was in a relationship with Soheila Clifford and right now, he is single. Or he might be, we don’t know. He tweeted in February 2021:

english gamers content

Here’s a video from Darren where you will immediately notice his energetic voice ‘’HOW’S IT GOIN’ DAZLERS”’ and then he turns into a serious voice. And he also has a daughter who's already 13 years or older when you’re reading this. And of course, fathers can play video games too. We’re shifting to a time where it’ll become normal to play video games above the age of 40. I truly believe that. Dads can also belong to the best English gamers to watch.

Darren likes to do commentary walkthroughs and playthroughs of games like Sims, GTA V, Minecraft, Uncharted 4, and many other games. He posts videos very frequently and besides games, he also makes try not to laugh challenges, and also does a lot of Sketch and reaction videos. He mentions that he reacts to videos from Musical.ly and Jacob Sartorius and ‘’everything else on the internet you hold so dearly’’. It’s what makes him different from other English gamers.

Before Darren got famous on YouTube as one of the best English gamers, he was employed as a construction worker and soon he hit the 1 million follower mark on Vine. This is the first platform where he created success. He mainly created funny characters by the names of Predator, Tea Party, and Happy Cloud.

If you like his type of content and you’re in for an energetic Brit, then you should check out Daz Games. Darren has a good British sense of humor, and he comes across as very energetic in his videos. Don’t be alarmed when this English gamer suddenly raises his voice, it’s pure excitement.

Jacksepticeye

You would think that Jacksepticeye’s real name would be Jack, right? Wrong! His real name is Sean William McLoughlin born in 1990. I would describe Sean as Irish dynamite. He is energetic and knows how to blow up your ears. Sorry, Sean… But you know it's true. Anyway, Sean isn't English but our Irish neighbor is so unique and successful, I simply couldn't leave him out in this list of the best English gamers to watch. He has more than 27.5 million subscribers on YouTube. Not bad for someone who has to tiptoe for a hug (Sean is 1.73 m in height).

It’s quite the experience the first time you watch Sean. Not only is he mega excited and loud, but you also don’t understand a word of what he is saying. All joking aside, Sean has found the perfect combination of ‘feartainment’ and his flamboyant character. He makes videos about scary video games like Resident Evil, Subnautica, Among us, but also does a lot of fun challenges like songs and animated roleplays.

In contrary to Syndicate which I will mention later, Jacksepticeye uses very advanced editing to create an epic vibe around the scary content. His most-watched video has been watched 98 million times! Yes, that is possible… Insane right? It’s the highest amount of views from all English gamers. Sean has a large audience but he isn’t necessarily the right pick for everyone. I am not even sure how Sean sounds without screaming lol. However, if you like to laugh about silly stuff, then Sean’s humor is your humor. His content is diverse and not one video will be the same.

One extra reason why I wanted to include Jacksepticeye to the best English gamers, is the fact that he has a good heart. Sean owns a coffee company called topofthemorningcoffee.com. From every order you place, a portion goes to the Feya foundation to combat world hunger. 1 order = 1 meal from which 6 people can be fed. I really admire successful people who give back to the world. In the end, that’s what life is about.

RTGame

RTGame, also known as Daniel, is an Irish-Canadian streamer and YouTuber and one of the most entertaining (almost) English gamers to watch. Daniel reminds me of Count Dracula. Just like Count Dracula, his awkwardness makes him awesome. First, he has never shown his face to his audience. When he started to feel more comfortable, he did crazy but amazing things like taking a bath in front of thousands of people to donate to charity. Daniel is born in 1995, and currently has 2.65 million subscribers on YouTube, and over 1 million followers on Twitch.

When you take a look at his Twitch channel, you will see that he is very active there. He also has a streaming schedule, and I think that being consistent is also a big part of his success. His schedule is as followed: every Tuesday and Thursday at 7 pm, and every Saturday and Sunday at 3 pm (times are based in Ireland). All of his YouTube videos are highlights taken from his Twitch channel.

The thing I like the most about Daniel is the fact that a shy nerdy person can transform into a content phenomenon. It gives hope to all of us that you can exceed in life when you get outside of your comfort zone (like Daniel not showing his face into jumping in a bath while thousands watch). Out of this list, he is the (almost) English gamer that plays the widest variation of games. He likes to try out new alternative games, and he likes to go against the purpose of the game and try to challenge its limitations.

For example. He has made the worst RollerCoaster possible in Planet Coaster, ruining the lives of his Sims characters, or trapping 200 Minecraft players inside a cube. Basically, he tries to ruin the game and make it as bad as possible. Together with his awkwardness, he creates hilarious moments, with a funny commentary that makes you appreciate his kind of content. This truly sets him apart from other English gamers. If you like content that is a bit out of the box, and that's contrary to other content creators, then RTGame is a must-subscribe option.

Here's a picture of RTGame who's standing in the middle between Call Me Kevin (left) and Jacksepticeye (right). I will mention these other two English gamers too! So read further if you're interested.

Clare Callery

Do you like Sims games? And do you want to meet a woman with a great personality? Then you should check out Clare Callery, a.k.a. Clare Siobhan. She also deserves to be mentioned in our English gamers list. She’s born in 1989 and at this time, she has 1,86 million subscribers. Besides the Sims, she also likes to play scary games sometimes, or other titles like Fall Guys, or story games like Life is Strange. She also likes to vlog and she has a vlogging channel together with her boyfriend! How cute is that?

I've watched their videos together, and these videos are so well edited and fun to watch. It's awesome to see more about the life of a content creator. Clare is a very nice, kind, and goodhearted person with great vibes which makes her stand out from other female English gamers. Her boyfriend is called Ali, and sometimes they play Fortnite together too.

They are both English gamers and have met each other at a gaming event in Germany, in 2014. Around 9 months later, at a gaming event in LA, they officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. In 2019, Ali proposed to Clare while on holiday in Bali and they became married in 2021.

On Twitch, she is also very interactive with her chat. So if you want to talk about subjects, share your life struggles, or anything else – you’re welcome to talk to her in her stream or with the audience she has. It is a little bit easier to talk to her compared to other English gamers like DanTDM because he has hundreds of thousands of viewers more in his streams.

Sims was one of my favorite childhood games as well. I've spent countless hours on the Sims 1, 2, and 3 and I loved it! So many people love the Sims because it allows them to escape social normality. You can create the reality that you want, play with characters you like, and have full control over everything that happens in their lives.

Clare says that her content is aimed at teens and young adults. She also discusses adult themes like alcohol, relationships, etc. So if you are a younger adult, teen, or you simply enjoy watching this woman with a beautiful personality playing the Sims – you should check her out. She’s is one of the best English gamers to watch for this type of content.

TheSyndicateProject

The SyndicateProject, or Syndicate, created his gaming syndicate in 2010. Born in 1993, Syndicate currently has 9.77 million subscribers on YouTube. The Manchester bred Syndicate is most famous for his affection for zombies. The creepier, the better for Tom. When we take a look at his channel, you immediately see the reason for his huge success to be one of the best English gamers. He is an energetic lad whose excitement is contagious. Even after hundreds of zombie games, Tom is just as excited as you would be when you open a box with a cute, blue-eyed puppy.

He used to play BlackOps zombies, Minecraft, GTA 5 roleplaying, and currently, Cold War zombies is his main gig. Make sure to check out some of his older videos because they are pure gold. It has nostalgic values as it takes you back to the games you loved when you were younger. One of my all-time favorites is GTA 5. So, what makes Tom different from other (English) gamers? Tom never shuts his hole… He takes you with him through his thought process and makes you feel like you are gaming with him. For some people, Tom might be a bit much. Especially when it's early in the morning. However, if you love to be entertained and experience the power of storytelling, then Tom is one of the right English gamers for you.

Furthermore, I think Tom is a great example of just doing the work and sticking with it. The editing is nothing special nor is the gameplay. Yet, Tom has over 9.77 million loyal subscribers that eat everything Tom serves them. GTA 5 roleplaying, CoD zombies, Minecraft projects, they eat it like cookies. His secret sauce is being consistently authentic. Tom is Tom, he doesn’t care about fancy animations, editing, or gameplay. He enjoys gaming and takes you with him through the experience through brilliant storytelling.

The fun of this English gamer doesn’t stop with Cold War Zombies and GTA 5. No, Tom also started his vlogging channel (Life of Tom with 2.59 million subscribers) to show people his world. From his new house to sharing personal updates, Tom will include you in his life. He also streams on Twitch and sells his own merchandise. The Syndicate experience is what makes Tom one of the most successful English gamers.

Vikkstar123

Vikram Singh Barn, better known as Vikkstar123, is an English YouTuber born in 1995. At this moment, Vikkstar has 7.43 million subscribers on YouTube. He is also a member and co-founder of the Sideman which is a British YouTube group. A couple of names from English gamers you might recognize are KSI, Minimister, Zerkaa, TBJZL, Behzinga, and W2S. At one point, Vikram got an offer to study Natural Sciences at the University College of London, but he declined and focused on his YouTube career (and who can blame him lol). With a staggering estimated net worth of 9 million dollars, Vikkstar is living quite cozy.

Vikram is a genuinely nice guy and has a very calm and friendly voice. It's such a delight to listen to if you are done with all the sweaty wannabe Twitch TV-ers. Ok, excuse me for bringing up my frustration. Back to Vikkstarr. Vikram has created a large proportion of his fame with Call of Duty Warzone. He won several big tournaments and regularly queued up with famous people like Wiz Khalifa and Steve Aoki. Vikkstar has a good sense of marketing and how to benefit from the popularity of others. He kickstarted his career with Sideman and later on celebrities to skyrocket his YouTube channel. It’s quite impressive. He’s can now rightfully be called one of the best English gamers.

In January 2021, Vikkstar announced that he would take a break from Warzone as the cheating issue was getting out of hand. The game was being overrun by cheaters who ruined the experience for everyone. I wish I could say things changed, but really they didn't. Warzone is still experiencing the same cheater wave and it continues to ruin a lot of games. Fortunately, thanks to high-profile content creators like Vikkstar, Call of Duty has announced its anti-cheat software. Hopefully, this will take off the cheater issue and allow Vikkstar to return to his roots as a CoD player.

Besides gameplay videos, Vikkstar makes very enjoyable personal videos where he shows things like his new dream house or vacations. His most-watched videos are from his time with Sidemen. Especially the challenges like the egg roulette or escape challenge are highly popular. They received over 13 and 10 million views. Other notable games Vikram played are GTA 5, Fortnite, Just Cause 3, and Forza Horizon. Vikram 'Vikkstar’ Singh Barn is a master in community building. It doesn’t matter what he does, he includes his audience and that’s one of the reasons why he is such a huge success. Vikkstar deserves to be among the best English gamers.

Ali-A

Ali-A, known as Alastair Aiken, is born in 1993. He currently has 17.5 million subscribers on YouTube. His small success started with Call of Duty, but he really made it big time during the Fortnite era. He did a lot of commentary on Fortnite videos and to this day, he still creates a lot of entertaining Fortnite videos. In contrary to other former Fortnite players like Nickmercs, he stayed with Fortnite, and not without success. He's even made a popular rapping video about Fortnite.

His newest videos easily get 500,000 views and you can see he truly loves the game. He is one of the best English gamers that can indicate that Fortnite isn’t dead, and still has a very active community. It also proves the point that you can be successful if you focus on just one game. In the end, it’s all about the personality rather than the game. What I really like about Ali, is that he has a calm and chill vibe around him. This allows you to watch him at any moment, even in the morning after you just woke up. You easily get caught by this relaxed vibe and find yourself watching video after video.

You'll also be familiar with his girlfriend Clare. She is also on this list as one of the best English gamers and entertainers. Clare and Ali-A have a channel together named Clare & Ali (yes, very creative indeed) where they share personal experiences like his proposal to her, introducing pets, and showing epic travels. Their proposal video received over 3.1 million views, but in general, the pet videos are performing the best.

He does a lot of promotional work for brands like Fortnite, EA games, and gaming conventions. Ali-A is mentioned in Business Insider as the number 9 most famous British YouTube star. Additionally, Ali-A is seen as one of the most influential British YouTube stars by the Huffington Post. All these recommendations only prove the point why Ali-A is a force to be reckoned with. He truly deserves a spot on our list of the best English gamers.

Call Me Kevin

This Irish gamer can rightfully be called Kevin, as his real name is Kevin O’Reilly. He currently lives in Spain and he’s born in 1993. Kevin is a great entertainer on YouTube with currently 2,81 million subscribers. He’s a lot like RTGame we've talked about earlier in terms of going against the purpose of the game. Kevin too likes to challenge its limitations. Fun fact: RTGame is a friend of Kevin, who also introduced him to a girl called Anna Rudolf who is now his girlfriend. You can also find Kevin playing games together with RTGame on YouTube or in Twitch live streams.

He didn't have the easiest past. He was dealing with stomach issues, which made him miss a lot of school lessons. They discovered he had ulcers forming in his stomach, due to anxiety and stress. This made him decide to drop out of school and focus on content creation full-time. Btw, Kevin also has a scar under his eye, and he says that he got it when he fell and hit the couch leg when he was spinning around in circles with his sister.

Kevin is a very chill, authentic, and cool person, who plays a wide variety of games. His channel got a huge boost after a video went viral. This was a video with Ouya, which is an Android-based interesting little console developed by Ouya. Anyway, Kevin knows how playing games can be fun. No video is the same, because he switches between all kinds of different games. The most fun are his role-playing videos, where Kevin provides a comical voice-over for the character he is playing.

So, if you’re in for strange challenges, Call me Kevin is one of the best (almost) English gamers to watch. Also, he likes to play the guitar, as you can tell by watching his videos. You will spot some guitars hanging in the background. When you go to his channel, he has playlists dedicated to music where he plays the guitar and sings with it too! He has other channels for collecting his Twitch clips and complete streams, called CallMeKevin Stream Archives and Call Me Kevin Clips.
